This is our new dog, Dakota. She is 2 years old and is half Shephard and half Akita. We got her from Humane Society last November and she's really, really sweet!! We all love her a lot!

- is reporting that a musical based on the Harry Potter books is in the works. According to the article, they're already looking for someone to have the main role, to play Potter in an all-singing, all-dancing version of J.K. Rowling's magic at Hogwarts.
A 'theatre insider' stated, "The difficulty is condensing the seven books into a manageable show. They are exploring various ideas. One possibility is to tell the whole story. Another is to just take a single plot. The plan is for spectacular flying scenes, live Quidditch and big showdowns with Voldemort."
The article also states that J.K. Rowling is planning to write another special Harry Potter book in aid of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day in 2009.

- spoke with entrepreneurs in the Orlando area about the upcoming Harry Potter theme park that is to open in Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, sometime at the end of 2009 or the beginning of 2010. They stated that construction is set to begin at the end of this year. Some small companies that help to build theme parks are hoping to benefit. Bill Nassal Sr., with Nassal Co. that designs faux rocks and other objects, had to sign a confidentiality agreement just to talk with Universal. Says Nassal: "We can't say a word about any of this."
So, it looks like another Top Secret Harry Potter job! Just not a book, this time.

The only problem is, we’re looking at the next adaptation and Rufus Scrimgeour, who takes over the Ministry of Magic from Fudge, we’re not sure if he’s going to be in the finished screenplay yet. We’re struggling with it at the moment, and he’s in one moment and he’s out the next. But if he stays in, I’m going to be on the phone quick as a shot to Bill and say, “Bill, come on, you’ve got to do this, man.”

- was held last night with Lacock villagers regarding filming for Harry Potter Half-Blood Prince. The first two Harry Potter films had scenes made in the village and in the cloisters at Lacock Abbey. During Order of the Phoenix, the cloisters courtyard was changed with computer animation to make it a courtyard at Hogwarts. This time, filmmakers want to bring all the main characters to the area to film some night scenes! Four days in October have been set for filming between 5pm and 5am. High Street and Church Street will be closed while the filming takes place.
