Week 7, Thing 17: Sandbox Wiki

With a little trial and error, I was able to add my blog to the Maryland Libraries Sandbox. I have posted a comment in the sandbox, then began reading others. Since I am a new dog owner, I was interested in reading what people had to say about their dogs. I posted my thoughts in one on the topic of: Purebreds vs. Mutts.

According to the article, they're already looking for someone to have the main role, to play Potter in an all-singing, all-dancing version of J.K. Rowling's magic at Hogwarts.

A 'theatre insider' stated, "The difficulty is condensing the seven books into a manageable show. They are exploring various ideas. One possibility is to tell the whole story. Another is to just take a single plot. The plan is for spectacular flying scenes, live Quidditch and big showdowns with Voldemort."

The article also states that J.K. Rowling is planning to write another special Harry Potter book in aid of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day in 2009.

They stated that construction is set to begin at the end of this year. Some small companies that help to build theme parks are hoping to benefit. Bill Nassal Sr., with Nassal Co. that designs faux rocks and other objects, had to sign a confidentiality agreement just to talk with Universal. Says Nassal: "We can't say a word about any of this."

So, it looks like another Top Secret Harry Potter job! Just not a book, this time. smile

We’re struggling with it at the moment, and he’s in one moment and he’s out the next. But if he stays in, I’m going to be on the phone quick as a shot to Bill and say, “Bill, come on, you’ve got to do this, man.”

The first two Harry Potter films had scenes made in the village and in the cloisters at Lacock Abbey. During Order of the Phoenix, the cloisters courtyard was changed with computer animation to make it a courtyard at Hogwarts. This time, filmmakers want to bring all the main characters to the area to film some night scenes! Four days in October have been set for filming between 5pm and 5am. High Street and Church Street will be closed while the filming takes place.
